The
has been conceived as a shield for Arduino and compatible platforms (currently compatible with Arduino NG, Diecimila and Duemilanove). It is aimed for people that want to build generative music intruments, small samplers, SID instruments or digital synths.
It includes space for a sound jack, independent OP-Amps for each audio channel, 6 headers for analog inputs with independent ground and 5V pins for each, 6 headers for digital inputs and a PS2 connector for reusing old keyboards and mice as interfaces to your own sound engines.
The kit comes with all the components needed to make the circuit work, including the OP-Amps, sound jack, PS2 connector, potentiometers for the distortion control, jumpers to select the distortion or the bass-boost feedback loops implemented at each amplifier, and extra potentiometers and switches for selecting different options via software.
The official documentation for this board can be found in our repository. It includes schematics, code examples, mounting instructions, etc. The step-by-step instructions in how to mount the Smapler v2 is also found as Instructable, just follow this link.
